Patton, Manuelito (Mano) Joseph GySgt.
34, a deeply loved son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and
friend passed away in a traffic accident on October 17, 2008.
Mano was born in Phoenix, AZ on January 5, 1974 and loved the
desert he was raised in. He worked in our family parts business,
Kactus Supply since he was about 10 years old. He terrorized the
desert on dirt bikes and ATV's and cleaned horse stalls for our
friends, the Woods, to earn money towards a horse that he loved
very much. He also saved to buy his first car, a 1966 T-bird
convertible at age 11 from our dear neighbor, Mary Robins on the
hill behind us. He graduated from Maryvale High in May of 1993
having been a part of the ROTC program for 3 years. He then
joined the USMC in September 1993 and was off to Camp Pendleton
in California. The military took him many places including
Okinawa, Taiwan, the Gulf, Australia, Hawaii and Iraq. He loved
to ride motorcycles, fix old cars, build motorcycles and fly.
Mano was a compassionate person and spent one on one time with
the people in his life. He loved children and always made them
laugh and have a good time. Mano was a great friend to many and
he made a lasting impression to all that he met. He was kind and
sweet and quick to laugh at anything funny. He will be missed on
this earth...but looking out for each of us in heaven. He is
survived by his mother, Diane L. Fleischmann and her life
partner, David W. Turrentine, Sr.; stepfather, Howard J.
Fleischmann (Patricia R.); sisters, Nicole M. Fleisch-mann/Feagler
and Kristie J. Fleischmann/Fain; brothers, Nicholas Patton,
Howard J. Fleischmann, Jr. and David W. Turrentine, Jr. and
grandparents Wayne L. and Beryle M. Klausman. A special thank
you to the USMC, GySgt Rodney VanRanken (best friend and fellow
Marine) and Mano's Flight Line for their support and help. For
our family and friends that want to show their respects,
visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2008 from 10-11
am with service following at 11 am at Messinger Pinnacle Peak
Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. Full
Military Honor Guard to follow at 1:00 pm at National Memorial
Cemetery of AZ, Pinnacle Peak and Cave Creek Rd. (3 miles west
