As much as we love the
American Old West"
the very things we love about it are disappearing every
day.
That's why capturing
the stories of the old west,
straight from the
"People Who Have Kept
the Spirit of the Old West Alive"
is an important project.
Join us as we interview
and record oral histories before they fade away...
Our first interview was
with the man who has done the most to promote and
preserve Arizona history in the last four decades,
Marshall Trimble.
Born in Ash Fork, he
has lived and taught Arizona History and is recognized
as the leading authority and holds the position of
Arizona State Historian.
But how much do you
actually know about Marshall?
Or any of our other
award recipients
Come sit with us for
an hour or two as our honorees tell us about their life and
experiences. What is their greatest accomplishment?
Hear about all of the
interesting characters in Arizona history each honoree has met and
his impressions of their significance in history.
If you enjoy Arizona
history this is a must see event!

LeeAnn Sharpe aka Crazy Cowgirl has been
in love with the old west all of her life. Growing up in
Arizona she had the opportunity to travel with her
father to nearly every little town and ranch in the
state as he made sales calls to his Union Oil Company
accounts. While he did business she had the day to
explore and often listen to old timers recount the
history of the area.
After several careers including staff
photographer for Valley National Bank which took
her on the road around the state again, and as owner of
Computer Exchange, the largest HP independent dealership
in Arizona, she has settled into a life as a freelance
writer.
Spirit of the Old West Alive came about
as she wrote the stories of people who keep the spirit
of the old west alive and felt the need to record their
voice telling part of the story themselves. You really
get a chance to know a person better when you hear their
voice and see their face as they share their stories.
The project is a not for profit endeavor
to bring people in to hear these interviews and that
someday will result in a book telling the stories of all
of these marvelous people.
