BRENT DALE BARTON
Born: 04-12-1964, in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona
Died: 09-18-2006, at 42 years of age, after a brief illness, at
Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital, Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona.
Brent went to be with the Lord on 09/18/2006, with his loving family
by his side. He attended and graduated from MHS in 1982. In 1979,
Brent's freshman year, he was on the lightweight freshman football
team (wearing jersey # 72), and they had the best record of all MHS
teams with a season record of 7 wins and only 2 losses. Brent is
survived by his loving parents Arthur and Yvonne Barton, his sister
Kristi (Barton) Abramson, MHS; 1980 (husband, Mike), nephew Jordan
Abramson, niece Lindsey Abramson, his grandmother's Frances Hatfield
and Faylee Barton, his fiance' Tina Boston and her four children
LeRoy, Leana, Jimmy and Janelle Boston, many aunts, uncles, and
cousins. Also surviving him are many friends. Brent will always be
remembered as a loving, caring and giving person. He was a friend to
everyone. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved the
outdoors. There wasn't a mountain he couldn't climb. Brent will be
greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral service was held
on Saturday, 09/23/2006 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North
59th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona; officiated by Pastor Jerry Dunn.
Casketbearers were Mike Abramson, Jordan Abramson, Dave Thompson,
Andy Sanders, Frank McDaniels, Michael "Mike" Sullivan (MHS; 1982),
Paul David (MHS/AHS; 1982), and David Chapman (MHS; 1981), with
Honorary casketbearers being Kevin Phillips (MHS; 1982), and John
Endres (MHS; 1982). Interment followed at Resthaven Park Cemetery,
6290 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona 85301; in the Hatfield
family estate; Section 21, Block 88, Lot 8, Space 4. Brent last
resided in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. Brent's passing was
shared by Paul David (MHS/AHS; 1982).

DAVID VERN BEIDLER
Born: 02-25-1964
Died: 05-02-1997, at 33 years of age, in Maricopa County, Arizona.
David's siblings are: Robert Beidler, MHS; 1974, Ted Beidler, MHS; 1979,
and Karen Beidler, MHS; 1979. Obituary published in the Arizona

05/12/1997. David last resided in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.

JAMES "Jim" MARTIN
BROOKS
Born: 10-12-1964
Died: 02-03-2005, at age 40, in Phoenix, Arizona.
A Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Caring son & Brother, passed
suddenly on February 3, 2005. He will be missed by his wife Shelly,
daughters Jennifer, Jaime, Jessica, Caitlyn & son James, granddaughter
Auora. Parents John & Karen, Grandmother Mary. Brothers Michael Brooks,
MHS; 1974, Sam Brooks, MHS; 1981, Robert & sister Angela. James was
loved by several Aunts, Uncles & cousins. He worked in the Floor
Covering business for many years & specialized in custom rugs. He
enjoyed music & the outdoors & travel. He will be missed tremendously by
everyone. Visitation was Friday 02/11/2005 at Advantage Colonial Chapter
4141 N. 19th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, # 602-263-7946. In lieu of
flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Memorial Fund
c/o of James Brooks at the Bank of America. Published in The Arizona
Republic on 2/10/2005. Jim last resided in Phoenix, Maricopa County,
Arizona USA 85017.

DAVID W. GRIFFITH
Born: 08-20-1964
Died: 09-15-2003, in El Centro, California USA
David lost his life tragically on 09/15/2003 in El Centro, California.
He left behind a finance, Linda, a 3 1/2 year old daughter, and two
would be stepdaughters, Michelle and Christy. We will miss his silly
laugh, great smile and beautiful blue eyes. He was an asset to our world
and his sweet and caring spirit will always be with us. We all love him
very much and he will be greatly missed. David's brother is Dan
Griffith, MHS; 1981.

Eugene was killed. Eugene was a member of the MHS Varsity football team

MHS; 1989. His brothers are: Patrick "Pat" Modic, MHS; 1982, Fredrick
"Fred" Modic, MHS; 1985, Thomas "Tom" Modic, MHS; 1985, and
Joseph "Joe" Thomas

Died: 08-18-2004, from natural causes, in Springerville, Arizona. Rodney
was a respiratory therapist. He is survived by his sons Justin and Jacob
Smith, his Mom Sonya Smith, and his sister Shirlee Smith, MHS; 1983.

Fidel Gilbert D. Soto
Soto, Fidel Gilbert D. 45, passed away December 10, 2012 in Phoenix, AZ.
He was born May 7, 1967 in Phoenix, AZ to Fidel and Mary Ellen Soto.
Fidel was a sheet metal worker, mechanic and handy man. He graduated
from Maryvale High School and attended Glendale Community College. Fidel
is survived by his parents, Fidel and Mary Ellen Dominguez, his wife
Amanda Torres Soto, his daughters Rochelle D. Soto, Challice Soto, his
son James Soto, two grandsons Christian Martinez and Gabriel Martinez,
and two sisters Terry D. Benson and Cheryl S. Whetsel. A visitation for
Fidel will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 from 5-8pm at Chapel of the
Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ. Full Mass will be held
Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10am at St Vincent De Paul Church, 3140
N. 51st Ave, Phoenix, AZ. Burial will take place immediately following
Mass at Resthaven Park Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at
www.chapelofthechimesmortuary.com.

BRENDA JANE
(STEPHENS) BLOUNT
Born: 08-01-1964
Died: 12-29-2002, at 38 years of age, in Glendale, Maricopa County,
Arizona
She was a former singer-comedienne at "Yesterday's" in Phoenix, Arizona.
She is survived by her son, James (17), husband Douglas "Doug" Blount,
father Bob Stephens, sister Robyn (Stephens) Nuth, MHS: 1977, brother
Ricardo Pacheco of Phoenix, sisters Marya (Pacheco) Frantz, MHS: 1974
and Linda Pacheco, MHS; 1970, of Syracuse, New York, and nieces and
nephews. Brenda's sister-in-law is Sandi Blount, MHS; 1973. Brenda
attended the MHS-BA (all class years reunion) at MHS campus in the
spring of 2002. Memorial service was at the SouthEast Valley Regional
Association of Realtors (SEVRAR), 1363 South Vineyard, Mesa, Arizona
85210. Dale Hillard officiated and friends sang and performed in her
memory. Memorial contributions to her son, James Blount. Published in
the Arizona Republic on 01/03/2003. Timothy McBride, MHS; 1984 and Dawn
(Hosack) McBride, MHS; 1984, and their children, became Brenda's
'adopted' family for 25 years. Elsa Hosack loved Brenda as if she was
her own daughter. Brenda brought joy and laughter to all of their lives.
