The “Summer ROQ Concert” series kicks-off May 21^st, featuring the Valley’s hottest

 local bands performing every Friday night

 SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (April 29, 2010) – InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa today announced the “Summer ROQ Concert” series launching on May 21, 2010, showcasing live music from the Valley’s most popular cover bands at the resort’s brand new pool-side restaurant ROQ (pronounced rock), an Outdoor American Bistro.

 The “Summer ROQ Concert” series, featuring local favorites including the Chris Parker Project, Rock Lobster, Easton Ashe and the Chadwicks, will continue every Friday night throughout the summer from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. closing with a Labor Day weekend show on September 3rd. Both resort guests and local residents are encouraged to enjoy this complimentary concert series that will “ROQ” the Valley all summer long.

 Summer at Montelucia will kick into high gear on May 21^st as the widely acclaimed rock band, Easton Ashe takes the stage, performing cover songs as well as original material to the crowd. This can’t miss event is open to guests of all ages.

The concert series will feature standing open complimentary seating as well as VIP service and cabana rental for those guests who desire a more intimate experience. In addition to concert seating, reserved dinner seating will be available. Advanced restaurant reservations (complimentary) are recommended. All guests are invited to explore the expansive “ROQtails” drink menu as the ROQ transforms into a pulsating evening hotspot. 

 ROQ, located adjacent to the resort’s centerpiece, Kasbah pool, is named for its stunning views of the glowing rocks of Camelback Mountain.  In addition to the Friday night ROQ concerts, Montelucia will feature live entertainment every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings as well as Sunday afternoons.  The sultry sounds of the Spanish guitar will fill Cortijo Plaza every Wednesday and Thursday while a DJ spins the top hits from yesterday and today at ROQ every Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
