This will be an easy 1 mile hike as we have the moon light the way to the mine. Once inside, candles will bring us through the history of this mine and will learn how its contents were used to cure all your ailments. Always bring water and wear sturdy shoes. Cave Creek Regional Park January 21st– Reach Your Goal Fitness Series 9:00am– 11:00am (Meet at the Slate Trailhead) Do you have that goal to get in shape for 2010? Join the Ranger as we help you reach that goal with this weekly fitness hike. We will start out slow and short for the first couple weeks with a 2 mile walk on our Slate trail. We will go from there and do just about every trail in the park for the next 8 weeks. We will slowly building up to our final hike on March 4th which will be our 6 mile Go John Trail! What better way to get in shape, enjoy the outdoors and meet some great people. Up for the challenge? Make sure you have good hiking shoes and always bring plenty of water. The Ranger will give some tips on clothing and gear at the beginning of the hike. |
